From a cobblestone paving training conducted on-site emerged the group Amdjer nna Obra.

The training was led by the Mulheres Calceteiras do Carriçal group from the island of São Nicolau and enabled 10 women to become skilled pavers; to pave approximately 7,000 m² of streets in their own neighborhood; to introduce gender discussions within the Iniciativa Outros Bairros; and, following the conclusion of the initiative, to pursue opportunities to work as pavers for the São Vicente City Council.

It is important to note that this trajectory was built not only through daily struggles that consolidated the group’s position both in Alto de Bomba and in Mindelo, but also by enabling the transfer of knowledge to another 10 women from Alto de Bomba, through similar training conducted by the group itself, entitled Pedra Calcetod é Txon Calçod.
